This episode I host Buzz Compass. Buzz Compass is DJ and producer Andrey Bychenkov, perhaps one of Russia’s most creative edits maker. After a series of successful digital releases, Buzz Compass released three 12” vinyls on European No More Hits, and 12” re-edits for the West Fulton Sessions on American Glenview Recordings. Buzz Compass’ edits and re-mixes have been gaining support from the likes of Andy Ash, Jacques Renault, Terrence Parker, Derrick Carter, Nicholas, LTJ Xperience, Marcos Cabral, OOFT!, Alexander Robotnick, Giom, Sleazy Beats, Mannmademusic, Moodymanc, Piranahead, Rayko, Ben Sims, JKriv, LeSale, Ursula 1000, Nik Weston, Sleazy McQueen, Suonho and more.  He has releases out on Freedom Sessions Records, Midnight Riot Records, Editor’s Kutz, More Drama Recordings, including a forthcoming release on Editorial Records.  Andrey, along with Valentin Vitchinov , is also a curator of the Deep Perfection podcast.  Being a connoisseur and expert of rarities Andrey, of course, prefers needles and vinyl in his sets.

This episode I host Atlanta, GA based dj Osmose.

Osmose is all vinyl, all the time turntablist flare with dance floor sensibility. Osmose has worked in the studio and/or nightclub with artists as diverse as Grandmaster Flash, Sleazy McQueen, Ursula 1000, Nicola Conta, Thunderball, Ramadanman, Moldy, CaZ, Mayhem, Boozoo Bajou, Boo Williams, Kai Alce, Paul Rogers, Mykal Rose, Collie Buddz, The Aggrolites, Dubconscious and The Wailers (both versions of the group). Osmose plays a variety of styles from Disco, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Deep House, to Nudisco & more, but always keeps it analog! With over 17 years experience behind the decks Osmose now spends most of his time touring North and South America with lots of records.

As of 2011 Osmose launched Smokecloud Records, a vinyl only label that is mastered and pressed in the USA.  The label focuses on the slower side of soul & funk based dance music, but sprinkles in a few dance floor burners.  The label is geared towards DJ’s that play a diverse array of venues. Outside of vinyl releases on Smokecloud records, he also has vinyl out on the France based Whiskey Disco imprint and Canada’s Friendly Monster records with forthcoming tracks on the Toronto based Long Weekend Records, Honey Disco  and a remix on the boogie and beatdown imprint Rotating Souls! Records.

This episode I host Brazilian dj Fiervo.

“You may find dj Fiervo, aka Fernando Iervolino, spinning some disco and house records at undergrounds clubs in Sao Paulo, Brazil, like legendary D-Edge or at big festivals like Creamfields and Rock In Rio. But maybe Fiervo’s favorite dancefloor is a beach. His love for balearic music comes from a long time, since his trips around Brazil’s coast, full of good music and abundant sun. This passion for laid back vibes resulted on a project called Sunny Disco, a series of occasional day parties and special mixes. This recording for Ain’t No Big Thing is a small sample of what Fiervo usually plays. Expect a mix of classic tunes, new stuff and edits, all packed in shapes of disco, downtempo, balearic, house and Brazilian pearls… Underwater synths, slow beats, sun kissed sax, lazy pianos, trippy pads, a lot of melody.
