dj ShmeeJay‘s Ain’t No Big Thing radio show, live on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 8pm – 10pm (PST) / 11pm – 1am (EST) on BoxFrequency.fm, and with a podcast syndicated on iTunes.\

This episode I host Adam Santucci, aka Air Zaïre. A life-long musician from South Florida, Adam dabbled in various musical projects before embarking on a solo career as an electronic music producer and DJ under the Air Zaïre moniker in 2011. By the following year, the then-budding DJ/producer packed his bags and moved to Brooklyn where he quickly fell into the local music scene and gained momentum following various mixtapes and releases including “Play,” “Reaction,” and “Sanibel.” It wasn’t long before he became a regular in the New York City club circuit, often featured on the bill at popular venues such as Le Bain, Cameo Gallery, Glasslands, Le Poisson Rouge, and Soho House, eventually landing on festival lineups including Mysteryland and TomorrowWorld.

In 2016, Air Zaïre relocated to Los Angeles, where his new palm tree-filled zip code has inspired a wave of new releases, like his remix of Bieber’s mega hit “Where Are Ü Now” or his take on the Bollywood classic. “Aap Jaisa Koi .” Also under his belt are recent edits of a Brazilian funk gem by Painel De Controle, Steely Dan’s “Jack of Speed“, Frank Ocean’s “Ivy“, and his latest remix of Toro Y Moi’s recent single “You And I“. If there’s one takeaway from Air Zaïre ‘s work, its his ability to tap into any genre from any decade and deliver a fresh spin on it every time.

Look for more of Air Zaïre on his websiteSoundCloud, InstagramTwitter, Facebook, Tumblr, MixCloud and Facebook. And of course you must familiarize yourself with Dream Chimney, a music blog and podcast series curated by The Beat Broker.
