ET_Ain't No Big Thing-Freq

dj ShmeeJay‘s Ain’t No Big Thing radio show, live on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 8pm – 11pm (GMT) / 3pm – 6pm (EST) / Noon – 3pm (PST) on BoxFrequency.fm.

This episode I host Brooklyn, New York based musician, producer, and dj Eugene Tambourine. Eugene Tambourine is one of those rare DJs whose broad-ranging tastes can educate, transport, confuse, elate and inspire all at the same time. I first heard Eugene at the Seattle’s Pony a couple of years back and i loved his energy. Along with spinning great sets, Eugene is also a very established musician and producer. His precisely crafted edits are bright and introspective while being very complimentary to the original version. He also recently toured the world with singer-songwriter Scott Matthew.

You can find more of Eugene Tambourine on his SoundCloud and MixCloud respectively.

Alan Mooney_Ain't No Big Thing-Freq

dj ShmeeJay‘s Ain’t No Big Thing radio show, live on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 8pm – 11pm (GMT) / 3pm – 6pm (EST) / Noon – 3pm (PST) on BoxFrequency.fm.

This episode I host Derry, Ireland based dj Alan Mooney.  At just 21 it is often hard to feel a connection to the essence of a genre which was in its prime before he was even born, but one night at the disco with Get Down Edits and Late Nite Tuff Guy on the decks a spark was lit in Alan. Exquisite track selection, endless grooves, recognizable yet reworked classics and a feel good vibe being constants through his sets, productions and edits.  Co-founding the Queen & Disco parties in Derry, Ireland back in 2013 before finally getting involved in the art of the re-edit. It was Queen & Disco that provided the platform for Alan, booking and playing along side some of his favorite producers. Today Alan and Queen & Disco is a sold force in the European dance music circles.

For DJ Bookings, contact:bookings@QueenAndDisco.com

You can find more about Alan’s Queen & Disco on the websiteFacebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Also, keep an eye out for Queen & Disco’s first vinyl release, Royalty of Funk Vol. 1 that will feature, along side the likes of LTJ and Get Down Edits, one of Allan’s own edits ‘Kofi‘.  Look for it at your friendly neighborhood record shop in late February.

But of course, we really are here for the music:
