This episode i host Geneva, Switzerland based dj Estèphe. Estèphe and I have been chatting music online for quite a while now, and him pushing out a mix I made several years ago is a big reason how I started to get traction and eventual the offer to host my own radio show. Hence I consider Estèphe a bit of an unsung hero that I am especially excited to have him the show.

This episode I host US based producer Earwig. Earwig makes chunky, funky edits as a part of the Shoes Crew, dark and heavy ethnic beats with Broken Compass and also runs the edits/remix label Plimsoll Records. The Earwig solo palette includes elements of afro-latin, dub, and techy future vibes. Recent remixes for Tal M. Klein “House on the Left” and the Automats “Pass Me By” showcase the Shoe sound.

dj ShmeeJay‘s Ain’t No Big Thing radio show, live on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 8pm – 11pm (GMT) / 3pm – 6pm (EST) / Noon – 3pm (PST) on BoxFrequency.fm.

This episode I host Derry, Ireland based dj Alan Mooney. At just 21 it is often hard to feel a connection to the essence of a genre which was in its prime before he was even born, but one night at the disco with Get Down Edits and Late Nite Tuff Guy on the decks a spark was lit in Alan. Exquisite track selection, endless grooves, recognizable yet reworked classics and a feel good vibe being constants through his sets, productions and edits. Co-founding the Queen & Disco parties in Derry, Ireland back in 2013 before finally getting involved in the art of the re-edit. It was Queen & Disco that provided the platform for Alan, booking and playing along side some of his favorite producers. Today Alan and Queen & Disco is a sold force in the European dance music circles.
