This episode’s guest is Pacific Northwest home boy, Eddie Bermuda.  Eddie is no stranger to rhythm. He’s been a fixture in the Pacific Northwest’s music culture for a decade. Promoting parties, DJing, producing, hosting radio shows, directing, and being a label dude.

Now in the process of re-locating to Los Angeles (and later this summer his first European tour), Eddie is known for championing emerging sounds and artists, earning opportunities to play music alongside artist(s) like KAYTRANADA, DaM-FunK & Soulection.

Known for creating vibes that tastefully appeal to the massess, he also loves to lead dance floors off the beaten path floating through disco, NYC loft, Chicago house and UK garage music. He’s studies the history of dance music very closely, too — citing Larry Levan & The Paradise Garage as his foundation.

England seems to be the place to be for Disco-editors. Actually some of the most talented of those are situated there. Chuggin’ Edits is from Essex near London and yes – he’s a Disco-connaisseur. And yes, his Ain’t No Big Thing exclusive mix is packed with massive tunes from well-known artists. If you haven’t been familiar with the man in charge, his SoundCloud-profile offers you an immense collection of his art and everyone should be able to pic a couple of favorites amongst those.

Mr Chugg started the edit game in the summer of 2014 and his first track ever to be released on the Deep Sense label – 1st Voyage Compilation ( A Tribe Called Quest – Bonita applebum )became the best seller.  He’s also on the new Deep Sense-sampler, their second installment, so there’s certainly a lot more to be expected from the talented guy in the near future. Chuggin is also a regular soldier for the Spa In Disco Label.

This episode I host Lisbon bred, Munich based Lino Rodrigues, aka Alkalino. Alkalion began DJing in the late 80’s. Skip forward more than 25 years through countless worldwide residencies and numerous vinyl releases and we find Alkalino at the top of the international Disco Edit craze with releases on multiple labels including: Mo’sFerry, Audaz, Ze Records (N.Y), Whiskey Disco, S.O.R, Dikso, Naked Lunch, Legendary SoundResearch, Much Love, Alma Soul Music, Hush Recordz, Estimativa, Tink Records, SoundDesigners, Chienkollective, Troia Recordings, Clubstream Green, Real American Records, Bonzai, Honiara as well as his own vinyl label called Vitalizer.

Lino has recently toured extensively in Europe. In August 2013 he did a North American tour, followed by a small Asia tour in August 2014. For 2015 another tour is planned, this time in South America with dates already confirmed for Brasil,Argentina and Mexico.

This episode I host Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based Universal Cave. Universal Cave is a Shawn Ryan, Ryan Todd and Brian Cassidy. A group of of Philadelphia based DJs & record collectors. They blend grooves from across time and space together with a spirit they’ve coined “Forward Deep & Free“. Along with a residency every third Thursday at Johnny Brenda’s, Universal Cave hosts the CaveCast, a monthly podcast recorded in front of a live audience, as well as releasing a bunch of delicious 7″ inch records with more coming.

This episode I host Derry, Ireland based dj Alan Mooney.  At just 21 it is often hard to feel a connection to the essence of a genre which was in its prime before he was even born, but one night at the disco with Get Down Edits and Late Nite Tuff Guy on the decks a spark was lit in Alan. Exquisite track selection, endless grooves, recognizable yet reworked classics and a feel good vibe being constants through his sets, productions and edits.  Co-founding the Queen & Disco parties in Derry, Ireland back in 2013 before finally getting involved in the art of the re-edit. It was Queen & Disco that provided the platform for Alan, booking and playing along side some of his favorite producers. Today Alan and Queen & Disco is a sold force in the European dance music circles.
