This episode I am accompanying a guest mix from Get Down Edits. Get Down Edits is Waterford, Ireland born duo Daz and Martin. They’ve have been tearing up dance floors across Ireland and further a field with their unique fusion of 70’s and 80’s funk and soul, Nu-Disco as well as their own disco edits. The two lads have bags of experience to match their talent and our guaranteed to get a party started as soon as the turntables are switched on. With a mammoth vinyl collection between the two of them you can expect to hear an eclectic mix of tracks every time they put together a set, making each one unmissable. With ‘Get Down Edits: Vol 1-3’ all selling out it is clear to say that their productions are as tight as their sets.

This week I have the absolute pleasure to host none other than Aaron Dae. Aaron embraces tracks steeped in the classic 90s house vein as well as grooves of the cosmic and disco sort. In whichever realm he works, the Brooklyn-bred artist intertwines a soulful commonality into his sound. Its good music understood on all levels. In addition Aaron is also one half of the men behind the edits label Razor –N-Tape, the other being cohort JKriv. Thus far, Razor-N-Tape has enjoyed breakout success with releases by Brooklyn’s Deep&Disco aka JKriv, Australia’s Late Nite Tuff Guy, New Zealand’s Hit It & Quit It right hand man Frank Booker, Parisisan edit-meister Dimitri From Brooklyn, Hamburg’s Lovebirds, and Japanese pianist/producer Kan Sano for an exclusive 7″ release on Record Store Day to name but a few. In short, Aaron is a musical force that you should listen to.

This week I host my good friend, dj, producer and all around good man Justin ‘Gg’ Green. The thing with this show, is that it’s rather special to me, in that Gg is the man who actually got me involved with doing live radio, offering me a slot on the now defunct station GrooveSkool. Gg has his own radio show, airing weekly on Tuesdays 9 pm to 11 pm (gmt) / 1 pm to 3 pm (pst) at back2back.fm.
