Pacific Northwest area folks should make plans to join me at the Photosynthesis Festival. I’m going to play a deep disco set on the beach on Sunday, so come out to dance, surf and play on the continental US’s northwestern most corner, located on the Makah Nation’s soverign land.

Also some folks around Seattle have started a Kickstarter campaign to get Alkalino (See Alides Hidding’s Hollywood Seven edit included in this mix) to come to Seattle and play music for a few nights.  If anyone is interested in contributing to this effort, please take a minute to go to the Alkalino Seattle Premier 2012 page. Alkalino will be in Seattle August 24 – 26, and at a minimum, we should make plans to disco together. Boom!

Good Fridays

A couple of weekends ago I joined up with Karl Spackler and Nick Redway for their monthly party, Good Fridays , that they run 1st Friday of every month at the Den at the Barclay Hotel in Vancouver, BC. It was a rather joyous affair with beautiful people dancing and enjoying themselves.  My intent had been to record my set and leave as a parting gift, but as that didn’t work, I put together this mix over this past weekend, of some of the tracks that I played that night.

With A Little Help From My Friends – II (Dynamicron Vultan)

This mix is the second installment of a series of mixes that I intend to put together, featuring various edit and remix artists’ work.

This set features the edit work of Dynamicron Vultan, a Madrid, Spain based producer and dj. Dynamicron’s edit work covers a wide swath of styles, including AOR, synth-pop and disco, something that really speaks to my dedication to good music, as opposed to just one style or another.
